On Saturday, October 13, the Brother Rice cross country team competed in the Catholic League Championship at Turtlehead Lake.
The varsity team finished 3rd overall. Leading the way for the Crusaders were Pat Maguire who finished 2nd in a new PR of 15:14, James Durkin in 6th (15:42), and Anthony Maciag in 12th (15:58). These three runners earned All-Catholic League honors.
Rounding out the scoring was Tim O’Connor in 24th (17:05) and Eddie Pacura in 27th (17:11). Both of these runners set personal bests as well.
The team will compete in the IHSA Regional at Midlothian Meadows this coming Saturday.
