Brother Rice High School is proud to announce the after school co-educational music enrichment program for students in grades 4 – 8. This program is designed to begin and extend learning of musical instruments. Whether your school does or does not have an instrumental music program, we have something for you here at Brother Rice.
The cost of the program is $60.00 a month which provides students two hours of music instruction each week! The program runs in two semesters: September – December and January – April. Students must pay for the entire semester ($240.00) at the time of registration.

Beginners Class
The beginners class is for students who have never played an instrument before, students who have played for only one year, or students needing a refresher course. Students in this class will learn the fundamentals of music performance so that they form good habits and musicianship. Students will learn in a group setting and will play from Essential Elements Book 1. This class meets Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:30 P.M. – 5:30 P.M.
Intermediate Class
The intermediate class is for students who have one or more years of experience playing their instrument and are ready to advance to more complex music. Students in this class will work out of the Essential Elements Book 2 and play sheet music in a concert band setting. Students who perform exceptionally well will also be given an opportunity to play with the Brother Rice Concert Band. This class meets Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:30 P.M. – 4:30 P.M.
