For six years, a group of Brother Rice teachers led by Principal Mr. James Antos, Mr. Marty Grogan, ’73 and Mr. Al Albanese have organized and led an annual summer trip with Brother Rice students to Appalachia in partnership with the Glenmary Home Missioners. The group has engaged in a variety of service activities to the people of this impoverished region- in particular home building and restoration- while also engaging in community building and varied enculturation experiences.
