On Saturday, the Cross Country team opened up their season at the Lyons Invitational. The Varsity team placed 6th with 123 points. Leading the way for the Crusaders was senior Dan Caddigan. Dan began his season in dominating fashion by capturing the individual title with a time of 15:13 over the 3 mile course.
Also having strong races were Pat Maguire in 14th, Anthony Maciag in 34th, Emmet McClain in 35th and Sean Waters in 39th. In a shortened Sophomore race due to the heat, James Durkin ran extremely well finishing in 4th place.
The team’s next competition will be this coming Saturday at Reavis.
