As the 2020-21 academic session comes to an end, we look back at what has been another challenging year for our Crusaders. They have had to adapt to a hybrid schedule, adhere to ever-changing guidelines, and keep up with their studies and activities. Despite the volatility, overall, it has been a successful year, and we are excited to celebrate our seniors in the coming weeks. The seniors’ last day of school will be on Friday, May 7, and then it is on to the stage!
Last year, graduation looked much different than in past years. Smaller ceremonies were held in the Brother Collins Courtyard to keep friends and families safe amid the pandemic. This year, our goal is to bring a sense of normalcy to graduation and to send the seniors off with the pomp and circumstance they deserve!
- To kick off the celebration, Fr. Mark Walter will preside over the Baccalaureate Mass on Tuesday, May 18, at 6:00 p.m. in the main gym at Brother Rice. Senior Gold Medal winners will also be introduced after mass.
- Two days later, on Thursday, May 20, a proper cap-and-gown graduation ceremony will be held on Coach Tom Mitchell Field here on campus. The ceremonies will start at 6:00 p.m. This year, each student will get the opportunity to walk across that stage with family members out there on the field cheering and waving them on!
Thank you, seniors, for an unforgettable four years; we’ll see you at the graduation festivities!
