The Chicago Cubs held off a late rally from the Seattle Mariners to secure a 9-8 victory in a spring training matchup Friday at Sloan Park in Arizona.

Originally, this story was supposed to be about the Cubs playing the White Sox. Sadly, that game was canceled due to weather conditions. This spared White Sox fans from seeing their team beaten by Chicago’s best baseball team.

Outfielder Pete Crow-Armstrong provided the biggest moment of the game, launching a solo home run in the second inning before blasting a grand slam in the third. His five RBIs helped the Cubs jump […]

On Oct. 24, Brother Rice hosted its annual parent-teacher conferences. These meetings are a valuable way for parents to meet their sons’ teachers. Even more importantly, the conferences bring out the truth about how their son acts in school.

“Parent-teacher conferences give me a great opportunity to tell parents the bad things students do in class,” joked Mr. Matt Muth.

For some students, it’s far too late to change their classroom behavior. After more than two months of goofing off in class, there’s no turning back. Many have to form a game plan in the days leading up to the […]
