DIRECTOR OF ADMISSIONS

Primary Function:

The Director of Admissions position is accountable to the President of Brother Rice High School (“BRHS”). He/she is responsible for working in collaboration with other admission team members, managing and coordinating the efforts of the admissions/recruitment process, interacting with faculty, staff, alumni, and coaches to achieve the school’s student recruitment and enrollment goals by attracting exceptional young men to BRHS.

Primary Responsibilities:

Recruitment of Prospective Students:

  • Work with community leaders and prominent alumni to establish strong relationships with area schools/parishes/clubs thereby enhancing the BRHS recruitment network
  • Manage the training and activities of the Student Ambassador Program
  • Maintain a current database of prospective students to include contact information, their status in the admissions process, as well as demographic statistics in support of the recruitment and admissions functions
  • Design and implement a comprehensive strategic plan for the recruitment and enrollment of new students
  • In tandem with the Director of Marketing, develop admissions marketing materials, ads, newsletters and recruitment videos in support of recruitment efforts
  • Represent the school at events related to admissions and recruitment. This will include a full schedule of evening and weekend events especially in the 3rd and 4th quarters of the calendar year (i.e. school visits, fairs, meet & greets, open houses, etc.)
  • Serve as the main point of coordination for hosting prospective students/families for shadow days, campus visits, open houses, etc.

Enrollment Management:

  • Direct the admissions process from point of application (Entrance Exam or otherwise) through attendance in August
    • Registration & Welcome Night for incoming classes
    • Coordinating student placement visits
  • Coordinate the Financial Aid & Scholarship process with the Business Office
  • Serve as point of contact for transfer inquiries

SCIENCE AND ENGINEERING TEACHER

Brother Rice High School Chicago has an opening for a full-time Science and Engineering teacher for the 2019-2020 school year.  Successful candidates should have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree, appropriate Illinois State Licensure, and willingness to support the faith activities of the school community.  Experience or willingness to be trained in Project Lead the Way (PLTW) Engineering classes is preferred.  Opportunities exist to moderate activities and/or coach sports.

Brother Rice High School Chicago has an opening for a Spanish teacher for the 2019-2020 school year.  Successful candidates should have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree, appropriate Illinois State Licensure, and willingness to support the faith activities of the school community.  Opportunities exist to moderate activities and/or coach sports.
