Associate Director of Communications and Digital Engagement

Primary Description:

Brother Rice High School is a diverse, Catholic Christian community, committed to preparing young men for college and the process of life-long learning. The Associate Director of Communications and Digital Engagement manages and develops communication tools to acquire new students, new donors and drive engagement with our families and greater community. This role also manages the student internship program with the primary focus of enhancing our brand and showcasing our exceptional students.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Promote the organization’s mission, achievements and future vision.
  • Manage and develop the Brother Rice website, creating a resource that enhances the brand and informs our community with accurate, consistent and timely content.
  • Utilize social media, press releases, print marketing, email communication, photography, videography and advertising publications in support of our strategic goals.
  • Integrate with various stakeholders across administration, faculty, admissions, institutional advancement and alumni offices to proactively communicate our successes.
  • Communicate to families, alumni and community constituents with traditional and developing communication tools.
  • Utilize graphic design skills to create materials, ad books, graphics and flyers for web, print and social media purposes.
  • Ensure brand and messaging consistency across all departments, events and activities at the school.
  • Provide support around creative direction and content development for fundraising efforts.
  • Event planning, promotion and execution.
  • Guide the strategy on academic and press outreach, including messaging in press releases, responses to media requests as well as academic inquiries on the successful strategies of teaching boys.


  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, or communications.
  • 2-3 years professional experience in a communications or marketing role.
  • Successful track record in creating marketing and communication campaigns.
  • Highly organized and collaborative individual with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple requests.
  • Excellent leadership, communication and decision making skills.
  • Experience with digital and print marketing, content marketing, and social media marketing.
  • Superior skills in writing, organization and attention to detail.
  • Creativity and an enthusiasm for meeting and working with a wide range of constituents.
  • Knowledge and proficiency with:
    • Website management and development, preferably WordPress
    • Social media platform management including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Snapchat, TikTok and Twitter
    • Graphic design tools (Adobe Photoshop, Canva, Adobe InDesign)
    • Email marketing  (Constant Contact)
    • Video Editing Software (Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premier)
    • Photography (Adobe Lightroom)
    • Google Analytics to monitor and report on content performance
