What We Do

Through the efforts of its officers and board members, the Foundation seeks to attract significant gifts to be invested for the purpose of sustaining the mission of Brother Rice High School in Chicago for years to come.

Beyond their personal gifts, the Foundation’s officers and board members make individual solicitations and host a golf outing each summer to attract funds in support of the Foundation’s mission.

Distributions are made to BRHS at least once each year to award scholarships, support the School’s Lifeguard Fund (financial aid based upon family need) and address the School’s requests for funds to enhance its curriculum and facilities. Through July, 2019, the Foundation has granted more than $725,000 to BRHS for the benefit of its students.
