The Brother Rice Hall of Fame, Circle of Champions, and Rice Pride Award together celebrate the individuals, teams, and organizations who have shaped the proud legacy of Brother Rice High School. These honors recognize athletic excellence, professional achievement, dedicated service, and unwavering commitment to the values of our community.
The Hall of Fame is the highest level of recognition, reserved for those who embody the “Crusader Tradition” of exceptionalism and have made a lasting impact on Brother Rice, their professions, and their communities. The Circle of Champions highlights alumni and coaches whose athletic accomplishments and leadership continue to inspire future generations. The Rice Pride Award honors those who generously give back with their time, talents, and treasures, exemplifying our motto, Acting Manfully in Christ Jesus, through service and spirit.
Recipients of both the Circle of Champions and the Rice Pride Award remain eligible for selection and induction into the Brother Rice Hall of Fame. These honors often represent a first step toward that highest level of recognition.
Together, these awards provide our students, families, and alumni with powerful examples of what it means to live out the mission of Brother Rice and to strengthen our school through excellence, leadership, and faith in action.
Brother Rice Hall of Fame – Est. 1975
The Brother Rice Hall of Fame honors individuals who have contributed to the rich heritage and tradition of our athletic programs, alumni who have achieved excellence in their careers or supported Brother Rice in extraordinary ways, and employees who have served the school with distinction. This recognition preserves and celebrates the accomplishments of alumni, athletes, coaches, faculty, staff, and friends who have made a lasting impact on Brother Rice High School, their professions, and their communities.
Induction into the Hall of Fame is reserved for those who are truly exceptional and who embody the “Crusader Tradition” of excellence. Each Hall of Fame Class is honored annually on Founders’ Day in January during both an all-school assembly and an evening celebration with the honorees and their families.
Circle of Champions – Est. 2010
The “Circle of Champions” is organized as a way of maintaining the rich heritage and tradition of the successful athletic programs at Brother Rice High School. It serves as a means of recognizing, preserving, and honoring the athletes, coaches, and individuals who made significant contributions other than the aforementioned ways. Many individuals have been influential in the “Crusader Tradition” of excellence and have had exemplary accomplishments on the athletic fields. The “Circle of Champions” honors the contributions and accomplishments of these individuals who are worthy of recognition as examples for others to emulate.
[Chicago, IL] — The Circle of Champions, Brother Rice High School’s prestigious athletic honor, is proud to announce the induction of its sixteenth class of distinguished coaches, athletes, and teams.
The Class of 2026 will be honored during halftime of the Homecoming football game on Friday, October 2, 2026, as the varsity Crusaders take on Fenwick. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
This special Homecoming night will showcase the newest inductees, and the entire Brother Rice community is invited to “welcome home” these exceptional individuals who have made a lasting impact on Crusader athletics.

This award is one of the highest honors Brother Rice High School bestows. It recognizes the extraordinary dedication of individuals who have selflessly contributed their time, talents, or resources to enrich our school community. Honorees will include those alumni whose impact has left a lasting legacy of pride and commitment to Brother Rice. Helping to strengthen the lifelong bond of our Brotherhood.
Recipients embody the core values of Brother Rice, living out the school motto, Act Manfully in Christ Jesus. Through their actions, they not only strengthen our community but also inspire future generations of Crusaders to uphold the tradition of excellence, integrity, and compassion that defines our school. They are pillars in their communities and carry the lessons learned as men of Edmund into their personal and professional lives.
