On Nov. 20, Mr. Dolan took members of the Brother Rice Advocacy Club to Mount Olivet Cemetery. Members went to show gratitude and condolences towards the remains of the indigent people.

It was rainy and cold, but that did not stop people from showing up. There were more than 100 people in attendance. Members of the Advocacy Club helped bring out caskets and lower them into graves.

Many members of the club shared their thoughts on the ceremony.

On Oct. 19, the Crusader freshman football team took on the St. Rita Mustangs for the Chicago Catholic League Blue title. Both teams going into the game undefeated; this was a must watch, highly anticipated game.

The team had a great week of practice, going hard every day because they knew what was at stake.

The Standard: Freshman Football Roll Past the Caravan to Keep Perfect Season Alive

On Saturday, Sept. 30, the Crusader freshman football team had a CCL matchup at home against the Mount Carmel Caravan. The Crusaders entered the game undefeated, and the Caravan entered the game 5-1.

Quarterback Rocco Galasso had a big game, leading the Crusader offense with an opening drive touchdown. Galasso finished the morning going 11 out of 13 with 189 yards, and two passing touchdowns. He also rushed for 62 yards.
