My time at Brother Rice has been up, down, mediocre, and amazing all at the same time, but I wouldn’t change it for anything in the world. There is nothing better than walking into Rice and being a Crusader. From being in class with all your friends, to the Friday night lights and the fun times on the weekend; you truly feel like you’re part of a family.

I grew up dreaming about coming to Brother Rice from going to all the camps and football games. When I was little, I really thought the Rice kids were superstars and […]

The Crusaders had a huge win Friday night beating the Mount Carmel Caravan 20-13 to cap off an unheralded six-game spring football season. Senior Night was a great success honoring the 20 seniors for all their hard work and dedication.

The Crusader offense came out hot and ready to go, scoring on their first drive set up by senior wide receiver Dwayne Moorehead’s 60-yard reception. Quarterback Jack Lausch finished the drive with a 1-yard touchdown run to take the lead early in the 1st quarter.

Moorehead said, “It was great to take an early lead; when I got the ball […]

The Crusader football team took a tough loss to the Marist Redhawks on Friday, March 26. It was a back and forth tough, Southside, Catholic League battle between arguably two of the top teams in the state.

The Crusader offense started off sloppy on their first drive after a questionable fumble by junior Khary Shaw.

Senior wide receiver Collin McGlynn said, “I honestly thought that was an incomplete pass, the call didn’t go our way but we have to adjust and fight through adversity.”

The Redhawks could not capitalize on great field position. After a defensive battle in the first quarter, […]

The Shaun Jacob Memorial Golf Outing took place at Ridge Country Club on Sept. 18, 2020, to celebrate the life of Shaun Jacob.

Shaun, a 1993 graduate of Brother Rice, played basketball for Coach Pat Richardson and was a 2 year captain on the basketball team. Shaun created what is known as the CAAC (Crusader Alumni Athletics Club.)  The CAAC allows former athletes of Brother Rice to be able to come back for events and games and give back to help support current Crusaders.
