This past week, Brother Rice and Mother McAuley came together for a night of competition and community at The Best of Both Worlds Trivia Night, hosted at Mother McAuley. Nearly 100 students from both schools filled the room, creating an energetic atmosphere that showed the strong connection between the two communities.

The event brought together students ready to test their knowledge across a wide range of topics. From sports and history to pop culture and school related questions, each round kept teams engaged and competitive. Laughter, focus, and friendly rivalry filled the room as teams worked together to climb the leaderboard.

By the end of the night, Team Nolan Leonard claimed first place with strong teamwork and quick thinking. Team Colin Nye finished in second place, followed by Team Peter Thewis in third. The competition stayed close throughout the night, making the final results exciting for everyone involved.

Beyond the competition, Trivia Night was about bringing two school communities together. The event allowed students from Brother Rice and Mother McAuley to connect outside of the classroom, creating a fun and welcoming environment.

Mr. Matthew Prunckle ‘06, spoke about the success of the event and the importance of shared traditions.  He said, “The Best of Both Worlds Trivia Night was another huge success with around 100 students participating. It was great seeing our communities come together for an evening of camaraderie and competition.”

Senior Nolan Leonard reflected on the night and his team’s win.  He said, “It was great to compete against so many people that I knew; the win was a memory I will never forget.¨

In the end, Trivia Night was a reminder that Brother Rice traditions are not limited to one campus. Events like this continue to strengthen bonds, build friendships, and show that  is at the heart of both schools.
