Brother Rice will host its annual homecoming dance on Saturday, Oct. 9. The dance will run from 7:00 to 10:00 p.m. Students must arrive before 8:00 p.m. and must leave by 10:20 p.m. All students must bring a date.

The dance is highly anticipated due to last year’s dance being canceled due to COVID.

“I am very excited to finally be able to have a normal homecoming, I think it will be a blast,” said Student Council President Pat Galeher.

The theme for the dance is Mardi Gras, and students can purchase a t-shirt online. The school week will be filled with dress down days and various activities. The dance will be held in the cafeteria because it is the best spot for the dance while maintaining a safe COVID proof environment.

The homecoming football game will take place on the night before the dance on Friday, Oct. 8. The undefeated Crusaders will take on Joliet Catholic in what will surely be a great game. Both teams are highly ranked in the state.

“The atmosphere is going to be electric. I can’t wait!” said Offensive Lineman Danny Curran. Kick-off is set for 7:00 p.m. Come out and support your Crusaders!
