On Sunday, Oct. 3, Brother Rice opened its doors to hundreds of prospective Crusader families. The Open House was very successful and welcomed several Crusaders of the next generation. With new clubs to show off and new opportunities for our students, Brother Rice had a lot to show, and it did exactly that.
One of the very popular stops in the open-house tour is the cafeteria. With all of our premier clubs being featured, many families like to stop and take in the greatness of the school. One club that consistently draws attention is Brother Rice Television, BRTV.
BRTV senior member Danny Hartz said, “I really enjoyed showing future Crusaders and their parents all of our great facilities.” Hartz is one of many students that volunteered their time during the open-house.
Tours of the school are given by members of the National Honor Society. The guys giving the tours all did outstanding, and it’s worth noting that they give the school an awesome look.
One the tour-guides, senior Brendan Nye said, “It was nice to see the excellent turnout of the next generation of Brother Rice.”
Another popular feature of the Open House was the new e-sports room. The room caught the eye of many and was surely one of the most crowded stops. The gym featured all of our sports teams and gave families the opportunity to meet the coaches.
Open House II will be held on Sunday, Nov. 9.
