Brother Rice is starting up a new club this upcoming spring. The golf club will be run by head varsity golf coach Tim Vaughan.

This club will be open for anyone to join and requires no experience. All are welcome to come have fun and learn how to play golf. There will also be some members of the golf team participating in the golf club.

Junior Thor Hock said, “It will be a good way to practice and get ready for the next season.”

Thor was a very valuable player last year for the golf team and will look to lead them downstate this upcoming season.

Coach Vaughan said, “All are welcome to participate in the golf club. It might even help the players who are looking to make the golf team next season.”

The club will take place at the local golf courses, such as Stony Creek, Waters Edge, and Ravisloe Country Club to name a few.

Golf instruction will also be a feature of the golf club by coach Don Patton, who is the assistant coach for the golf team.

The golf club will provide students with a stress-free environment and will also help them improve their golf game.

Coach Patton said, “The club will be good to get the season started, and it might give us an edge on some of the other teams this season.”
