I remember in the summer of July 2021 when I picked up my final high school schedule for my senior year at Brother Rice. I was not scared but I was kind of sad because of how fast my first three years went by. I was extremely excited for the school year to start. I didn’t even want to think about graduation from the beginning because I didn’t want to leave all the friendships I made at Brother Rice behind. High school goes by in a blink of an eye, so enjoy it while you are there and make the best of it.

I’m going to miss attending all the football, basketball, and baseball games. Some of the best memories of Rice I have were made from the student section at the football games. The best memory was when the student section rode bikes to the Marist game at Marist down Pulaski Ave. to beat the Redhawks 41-21.

My favorite teachers at Brother Rice my senior year were Mr. Swynenburg and Mr. Parker. The reason for this is because Mr. Swynenberg’s class was chill and he taught math very well and made it easy to understand. Mr. Parker taught me web design my sophomore year and it was a super fun class, so I decided to take IT essential my senior year.

I played hockey all four years at Brother Rice and had a blast. I made new friends on the team and even played with old teammates from previous years. One of the best experiences of my life was getting to play with my older brother Billy for a couple games when I was a freshman. As my years went on, I started to appreciate the time at practice and games I got to spend with my teammates. I always enjoyed going to the rink to spend time with my teammates because there were always laughs. Brother Rice was some of the best years of my life.
