The rank of Eagle Scout is the highest attainable rank or achievement in the Scouts BSA program of the Boy Scouts of America. Only about five percent of all scouts have achieved this position since its inception in 1911.

Getting to the rank of Eagle Scout is no easy task. There are hundreds of requirements you must complete. There are different leadership positions you must hold. There are even projects you must organize and complete!

Scouting has been a big part of my life for as long as I can remember. When I was little, I remember going on camping trips and participating in fun activities with my older brothers while my dad was one of the leaders.

My favorite time camping would have to be up at Owasippe. From counting how many mosquito bites you had to using a knife like Rambo, Owasippe had it all. I have been camping there a few times and I always loved the aquatic merit badges. My favorite would have to be small boat sailing.

Scouting has truly made an impact on my life and I can proudly say that my family now has three Eagles!
