Unfortunately, the NFL season left Bears fans devastated throughout Chicagoland. After finishing a measly 8-8, Chicago didn’t have much to look forward to for the rest of the season. However, four Bears players were selected to participate in the Pro Bowl.

The game, played a week before the Super Bowl, highlights the star players from around the league. Our hometown Bears were represented by standout linebacker Khalil Mack and Safety Eddie Jackson on defense. Kyle Fuller snuck in as a replacement and Cordarrelle Paterson was selected as a specialist.

Grant Gierhahn seemed well-informed on the game and looked forward to watching it.

“When I saw that not only one, but FOUR Bears were selected, I was super hyped,” he explained. “I’m a life-long fan, and seeing my favorite player (Kyle) Fuller in action was absolutely surreal to me.”

Although there was a very undersized crowd of Chicago fans due to the Orlando setting, my good pal Tom Hixson was able to make the game.

“Being at the game and being able to meet all the superstars was definitely cool. I even got to talk to some of my favorite players.”

The game had its fair share of superstars, with the AFC ousting the NFC and our beloved Bears’ players 38-33. Henry Barsch decided to weigh in on the game.

“Khalil Mack really played great! I knew he was a special player and he showed that.”

Khalil had a notable defensive performance with multiple stops and even a QB hurry. Cordarrelle was only able to return one kick for a minimal gain.

“Our Bears showed fight today,” said Tommy Gorman. “Obviously not enough, though, as they took another loss.”

Tommy and an army of Bears fans hope the team can get their stuff together and make a run in the 2020-2021 season.
