Over the course of 71 years, the Brother Rice Crusaders have built a tradition of excellence. Not only is this displayed in the classroom, but in sports and extracurricular activities as well. Another example of dominance is emerging; this time, through the men’s soccer program.
The Brother Rice soccer team is not new to success. Recently in 2024, the Crusaders finished the season with an impressive record of 15-4-3. While facing some challenges during the 2025-26 season, the team continued to persevere and grow as a program. A major part of this growth was the hiring of new head coach Patryk Kibler.
Entering the new era of Coach Kibler, the team looks to outperform last year’s record, and they are off to a great start so far. The team is currently 3-2-1 in their first 6 games. A very notable moment was their victory over Marian Catholic, where they dominated 8-0. This type of success so early in the season is an indicator of great things to come.
I spoke with right-back , Eamonn Reynolds, who said, “The season is going great so far. This new coach has transformed us a lot in such a short amount of time. Our play style from last year to now is completely different.”
Needless to say, Coach Kibler is having a positive impact on his players so far this season. We can expect to see continued improvement and success not only from this year, but from future opportunities Coach Kibler has to lead the Crusaders in the future.
