“Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga” is the newest rendition of the Lego Star Wars games.

The game was announced in 2019 but was delayed many times due to the pandemic.

Star Wars is one of those franchises that have been around all my life. The Star Wars movies and games have always been a major part of pop culture. Senior Raul Andrade said, “Lego Star Wars as a game and product will always be timeless.”

The series of games started with “Lego Star Wars: The Game.” This game covered episodes one through three. Next, the “Lego Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy” came out which adapted the original George Lucas movies.

The next game that came out was considered the “creme de la crème” for all children at the time.

The “Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga” was a major point in people’s childhood. For current Seniors, the game came out in Kindergarten for us. The games have come full circle from the start of our education career to the end. Senior John Klimczak said, “The original game was pivotal in everyone’s childhood.”

The main premise of the Lego Star Wars games is to play through the movies as many different characters reliving your favorite scenes in a comedic setting. “Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga” brings together the whole Star Wars series from episodes one through nine.

The newest game has updated graphics with a brand new glossy look that makes it look like Legos. The game also comes with a new combat system to bring a new touch to the Lego series.

Senior Landen Sinclair said, “The graphics look great, and I can’t wait to relive my childhood in 4K HD.”

Prepare your light sabers and get ready to play the first truly open world Lego Star Wars game.
