With the intramural basketball playoffs right around the corner, it is time to start preparing for the championship. A lot of teams stand out, but right now, my personal pick is Team Sloyan.

Senior Cole Adamski, a member of the team, said, “If we want to win, we gotta keep locking teams down and get Sloy the ball.”

This strategy has worked so far, as Sloyan is one of the top league scorers. Other teams haven’t fared so well, though.

Senior TJ McNichols said, “Our team faced a lot of adversity throughout the year, and right as we caught a groove, we were eliminated.”

Overall, this has been a very cutthroat year, filled with fame and failure.

Throughout the year, there have been many highlights and lowlights. From senior Joquan Turner hitting a halfcourt deep ball, all the way to senior Jake Dugger missing four layups in 30 seconds, this has been one of the most eventful seasons of intramural basketball history.

The most important part of being on a team is knowing your role.

Senior Will Murnane said, “I know my part of the team. I’m a glue guy. All I do is grab boards and throw dimes.”

Having key role players like Murnane is what makes his team great. This will be an eventful postseason playoff tournament, and I can’t wait for the championship game.
