The annual Mother/Son Dance took place again this year at Brother Rice High School. After the dance was canceled last year, a lot of mothers were highly anticipating the festivities.

The cafeteria was decorated with streamers and balloons. They were purple, pink, and red to represent the feminine theme of the night.

A DJ played popular songs as the students and their dates danced the night away. Most of the participants were seniors, since the dance was canceled the past two years for them.

Senior Beau Polickey said, “The dance was more fun than I expected. A lot of people were out on the dance floor enjoying themselves.” He said he would definitely recommend it to underclassmen.

The refreshments were cookies and sandwiches, which everyone seemed to be pleased with. Many of the students went out to local restaurants after the dance to keep the night rolling. Overall it was a great experience for the students put on by the school.
