This Christmas break, I spent time with my family and friends, and I really enjoyed it. Taking a break from school gave me some quality free time where I spent it doing activities that I usually can’t do.

I was able to sleep in almost every day, and I had a good routine where I would go to the gym and get food earlier in the day. At night, I would hang out with my friends or play video games with them; it was great.

On Christmas Eve, my family and I went to mass, then went over to my grandpa’s house where we celebrated with my mom’s side of the family. I was able to see my cousins, where we played games and sports.

My cousin Joey said, “Christmas Eve was a fun night. I enjoyed seeing family and playing basketball with my cousins.”

On Christmas Day, my dad’s side of the family came over to my house where we had dinner and opened presents. Before they came over, I went over to my second cousin’s house where I got to see a lot of my family that I don’t usually see. Christmas Day was a nice day and I really enjoyed spending some quality time with my family.

My dad made lasagna and it was really good; he said, “I took it easy this year making lasagna instead of prime rib, but I’m glad everyone enjoyed the dinner.”

I also celebrated my birthday over break which was on New Year’s Eve. I went to Birdies, which is a restaurant with indoor golf simulators and had a good time. I also went out to eat after golfing. I got some good presents and was happy after it was over. I then hung out with friends at night and had fun celebrating the New Year.

I really enjoyed this break with my family and friends. My mom said, “I was able to spend a lot of time with my kids and family. I really enjoyed this time and it was truly a special holiday season.” Though school is back in session, more breaks will come soon and I bet they will be even better!
