Looking back on my four years in high school, I can say that I am very grateful for being able to attend Brother Rice. Before coming to Rice, I had no idea about the school except that my brother Bryce played baseball here.
Brother Rice is more than just showing up for school at 7:50 a.m. and leaving at 2:45 p.m. The atmosphere, culture, and support you get at Brother Rice is special, and you will not be able to find that anywhere else.
My favorite moments at Rice outside of sports came from the Crusader Crazies. Being able to support your friends that are playing while also jumping with classmates is a special feeling. My favorite moment was watching the football team win the state championship at Northern Illinois University while we were all jumping and cheering around in the snow and slush.
Brother Rice baseball has played a big part in my life, both mentally and physically. Coming into my senior year, I was at my highest point in my career and then a sickness one week before the season brought me to my biggest low point. Thankfully, my coaches, teammates, and parents were there for me throughout the tough time and helped me get through it.
I could not have asked for a better school to attend. I am proud of who I have become because of Brother Rice. Signing out one last time, and GO CRUSADERS!
