My senior year has been several things, but boring is definitely not included. From introducing myself to a whole new set of friends, to enjoying a class I did not think I would have, this has definitely been the best school year of my life.
At the beginning of this year, I thought it would be just like any other, slow and dreaded. It started out that way, until bowling season came around. It was not until then that the wheels started to turn, and the countdown began on my senior year.
The season felt the shortest ever. In the blink of an eye, it was January and state playoffs were ahead of me.
I have had so many fun moments this school year, from Mr. Creed hitting a stunner on a random wrestler, to going to Fairview Heights for state finals.
As far as school goes, Mr. Strehlau’s anatomy class was some of the most fun I have ever had in a classroom throughout my four years. I loved every second of it, and I learned so many new things that I never would have enjoyed if it was not for Mr. Strehlau.
I will never forget this place, for better and for worse, and deep in my soul, I will forever be a Crusader.
