The Standard: My Senior Year

By Christopher Neary ‘19

Brother Rice has been the best four years of my life, and I am excited and hesitant to close this chapter of my life. Some of my favorite memories have come from my senior year. My life has changed in ways I would have never thought.

I was lucky enough to receive the Chick Evans Scholarship. This is a life change opportunity to go to college and have my tuition and housing paid for. I am excited to be attending Indiana University- Bloomington. I also met some great people this year.

I joined a youth group called COR in October. I met so many new friends that I never would have expected to meet. I formed meaningful relationships that I know will last the rest of my life. This definitely has to be the highlight of my senior year.

I went into senior year expecting the same that has been happening for the past three. I had no idea what my last year at Brother Rice had in store for me.

I am excited to start college, but sad I have to leave Brother Rice behind. I know is at the end of all this that I made the right choice by attending Brother Rice.
