Drew Timme is a 6-foot-10, 235 pound forward on the No. 1 ranked Gonzaga Bulldogs men’s basketball team. Some may know Drew because of his handlebar mustache or because he is one of the best players in college basketball right now.
Timme is averaging 18.8 points per game this season and has been a big part of why Gonzaga leads the NCAA in points per game. He can score from all three levels making it very difficult for other big men to guard him. Drew is also an efficient scorer. Timme has the second-highest field goal percentage in the NCAA this season at 65.5%.
Drew Timme is not only concerned with scoring though. Timme leads Gonzaga in rebounding averaging 7.3 rebounds per game this year. Rebounding is very important for the Bulldogs as they like to get out and run in transition. When Drew corrals in rebounds, he quickly outlets the ball to his guards which allows the team to get easy transition points.
Rebounding wins games, and Drew Timme emulates this perfectly for the undefeated Gonzaga men’s basketball team that is currently looking to win a national championship.
