Pop Culture Club gives students a place to relax and talk about things they actually enjoy. Instead of focusing on schoolwork, the club focused on music, trends, and different parts of pop culture.
The club meets every Tuesday and usually focuses on different topics each week. A lot of the time students talk about different song eras and how music has changed over time. It gives people a chance to share what they like and hear what others are into.
Senior Chaz Knight said, “It’s cool how we talk about different music and everyone has their own opinions about it.”
Meetings are pretty laid back. Students talk and give their opinions and sometimes debate about what music or trends are better. It makes it easier for people to speak up because it’s about things they already know and care about.
Senior Justin Davis said, “It’s a chill club. You can just talk about stuff you actually like and not worry about anything.”
The club also gives students a break from school stress. It’s not about grades or assignments, it’s just a place to hang out and be a part of something. That’s what makes it different from regular classes.
Club moderator Mr. Parker said, “It’s a good space for students to connect and have conversations about things they enjoy outside of schoolwork.”
Pop Culture Club is a good way for students to connect with others and talk about things they enjoy. It shows that not everything at school has to be serious to be meaningful.
