Any big sci-fi fan is completely missing out if they haven’t watched the Netflix original “Stranger Things.” Fortunately, there is no better time to give this gem a watch than in the midst of a month-long quarantine.
“Stranger Things” is a show that takes place in the strange little town of Hawkins, Indiana, during the 1980s. The series starts off with a normal group of kids playing Dungeons and Dragons, but things quickly go awry as one of them, Will Byers, goes missing on his way home.
Will’s disappearance is simply the start of the craziness that Hawkins will see. The show is jam-packed with captivating science fiction from superhumans to an alternate dimension known as “The upside-down.”
There is more to the show than just cool science fiction, though. The show quickly introduces lovable characters like Steve Harrington and James Hopper. Those are just two examples of characters that undergo amazing developments through the series.
Not only does the show feature great characters, but the suspense is also absolutely thrilling. The characters are often put in terrifying situations; the viewer pretty much never knows what will happen next.
On top of this all, the show boasts a star-studded cast with A-list actors like Winona Ryder, David Harbour, and Sean Astin.
Overall, “Stranger Things” is an amazing watch that anyone who likes sci-fi will absolutely love.
