I used to think that nothing in life was free, until on Monday, April 6, when Taco Bell announced that they will be giving away free Doritos Locos Tacos on Tuesday, April 7, with no purchase necessary. All I had to do was go to the drive-thru and ask nicely.
I’m no fool, so I had to take up this offer.
Although I was nervous at first because of health concerns, when I rolled up to the window, I could clearly see that the employees were taking caution and they were wearing gloves and masks. I was very relieved.
I’ve been eating mostly home cooked meals this quarantine and I’ve been loving it, but I must say that this taco was divine. It tasted just like a normal Taco Bell taco, but it’s been so long since I had any fast food, and it just hit differently.
In fact, it was so good that I went back around to the drive-thru and ordered a meal this time. I didn’t think that Taco Bell was making a smart play by giving out free tacos, but I didn’t realize how smart it actually was until I already paid for my meal.
Kudos to you, Taco Bell, for bringing some good light in these dark times, and tricking me into buying a meal when my only intentions were to get free food from you.
