As a cross country runner or distance runner in track, one of the hardest things to do is stay in shape in the offseason. Especially during the cold and snowy winter, it may seem nearly impossible to train how you do during the fall, spring, and summer.
But thanks to The Crusader Cross Country Club, or C4 for short, you no longer have to worry! The C4 club is open to all who are interested in staying or getting in shape for a sport, or anyone interested in distance running.
Run by Coach Wazio, Coach Swynenburg, and Coach Muth, this club meets 5 days a week after school and is guaranteed to prepare you for indoor/outdoor track or any other sport you are involved in.
“C4 is definitely one of my favorite parts of the winter. Once cross country ends I know that I have C4 to look forward to and prepare me for track season,” said junior cross country and track member Mikey Corcoran.
With a solid group of guys, the members of C4 are looking forward to a good winter of running, weight lifting, and other forms of training.
“I really like the group of guys we have this year, and the addition of Coach Muth helps us out a lot. With soccer and cross country being over now, I am excited for the track season and this is the best way to prepare for it,” said senior Jordan Harris.
Although the distance battalion did lose key members, they are still looking forward to a great year. Senior Jordan Harris and Junior Mikey Corcoran look to be the new top dogs of the program, and both expect to have breakout years in track thanks to C4.
Anyone interested in joining the fun-filled and hardworking club should see Coach Swynenburg, Coach Muth, Coach Wazio, or any member of C4.
