Brother Rice held its annual pep rally, featuring a phenomenal performance from our Lady Crusaders, announcing our accomplishments in fall sports, and two electrifying wrestling matches.

Freshman Shane Lyons said, “The pep rally was amazing, fun to be at, and a great opportunity to show shadows why they should go to Rice.”

The Crusaders recorded a new school record with hosting over 200 shadows and giving them the Brother Rice experience.

Senior Mateo DeLuna said, “The pep rally was the best pep rally that I’ve been to in my four years at Rice.”

The match between wrestlers Joe Alonzo and Sabotage Sean Logan provided a great experience for the crowd. This match took place from inside to outside the ring, and even all the way up top on the balcony. Joe Alonzo had Sabotage Sean on his back all match, until the Crusaders gave Sabotage Sean the encouragement to get back up and take down Joe Alonzo to win the Crusader belt.

Senior Spencer Cerceo said, “The pep rally was electric, and witnessing Mr. Creed delivering a Stone Cold Stunner was the perfect way to wrap up the excitement!”

That Mr. Creed Stunner to Alonzo was a great way to start off our homecoming weekend!
