On April 11, the biggest golf tournament in the world began. Millions of people gathered together to watch the Masters. Last year, Jon Rahm was the one to take home the green jacket.

Senior Tommy Scott said, “The Masters is something I look forward to every year. With Scottie being as dominant as he is, I expect him to win.

This year’s tournament contains some of the best golfers the world has seen in a long time. Scheffler, Homa, McIlroy, Morikawa, and DeChambeau were just a few that were expected to put on a show. Scheffler was favored to win this year with Rahm and McIlroy close behind.

Senior Jayson Polickey said, “I thought it was very exciting, but I was disappointed that Rahm didn’t repeat. Scheffler is a great golfer and showed his crazy swing style can pay

off.

After round four, Scheffler was at the top of the leaderboard shooting 11-under. Unfortunately, most of the well-known golfers fell short while still having a good game. McIlroy shot 4-over, DeChambeau 2-under, Rahm 9-over, and Woods 16-over.

Senior Owen McShane said, “Scottie Scheffler proved that he is the best golfer in the world. With this being the most iconic golf tournament of the year, it was fun to watch.

Nevertheless, this year’s tournament was still exciting to watch. The suspense and excitement were like no other. Looking forward, the Masters Tournament next year could be an even better one.
