As I sit here reflecting on my last four years here at Brother Rice I’ve come to the conclusion that I had a blast.

I spent most of my time as a Crusader Crazy going to football and basketball games. However, my most memorable moment is playing baseball for a top rated baseball program in the country. The friendship and the camaraderie from my teammates is what I will cherish the most.

One of my favorite moments as an athlete at Brother Rice would have to be playing at Wrigley field against our rival Mt. Carmel. Walking under the tunnels, in the outfield, and into the club house after the game felt surreal.

One of my favorite moments as a Crazy would have to be traveling down to Champaign, Ill., in March of 2025, when the basketball team made it downstate. The best part about that trip was when we beat St. Patrick in the state semi-final game and how much fun we had after.

On a different note, one of my favorite classes had to be US History with Coach Gleeson. It wasn’t the subject that made it my favorite, it was the people. I’ve met some of my best friends in that class.

Following that, my favorite teacher would have to be Coach Gleeson. Mr. Gleeson has taught me so many life lessons throughout my time at Brother Rice and I am so grateful for him. He has not only made me a better person, but he turned me into a better man.

A message to the underclassmen that I would give is to soak it all in. It sounds cliche but time flies. I remember my first day here like it was yesterday, so enjoy every moment, get involved, and have fun.

Overall, I am so grateful for making the choice to come to Brother Rice as it was one of the best decisions I have ever made. Without Brother Rice, I don’t know where I would be today. Words cannot express how much gratitude I have for Brother Rice and the people inside the building.
