ATTENTION ALL CRUSADERS…
Your Brother Rice Student Council will be hosting a trivia night on Thursday, Feb. 4 at 7:00 p.m. in the Carmody Center (lunchroom).
Student Council President Conor Durkin said, “I think it’s a new event that gives everyone a chance to get involved. I think it will turn out great.”
Trivia night is open to any and all Brother Rice students. We are looking for roughly ten teams. Teams will consist of four players.
You are all invited to come to prove yourself and your intelligence. There will be multiple categories. I will not spoil too much, but if I were you, I would touch up on my Brother Rice history, sports trivia and geography.
Did you know that Brother Rice High School was founded in 1956? Or that Hawaii and Arizona do not observe daylight savings time? Or that the farthest punt ever recorded in NFL history is 98 yards?
Well if you didn’t, you better find some teammates that did by Thursday night.
Student Council Treasurer Aidan O’Connor, who is very eager to participate, said, “Ever since 8th grade Christmas trivia, I’ve been known as a threat. Nothing’s going to change Thursday.”
One of the best voices of Brother Rice, Mr. Pat Creed, will be our master of ceremonies for the night. All rules and regulations for the trivia game itself will be explained before we start.
So, grab three buddies and get your team to the Carmody Center Thursday night at 7:00 sharp. We encourage you to come get involved, socialize, show off your brains and COMPETE!
Trivia teams will be competing for the perpetual Golden Einstein Trophy, and each winner will also be walking away with Brother Rice bookstore gift cards.
My all-star teammate Kevin O’Connell said, “Trivia night is a great opportunity to compete against my classmates for the best prize anyone could ask for. It’ll definitely be a highlight of Catholic Schools Week.”
To sign up, please see flyers posted around the school, social media posts @brcrusadersa on Instagram and Twitter or use the link below. Please see Mr. Prunckle with any questions.
We hope to see you there!
