From the very first day of the school year, I knew this was going to be a fun year. I got lucky with my schedule and got classes that I was excited about.

The thing that made each day so great were the people. At Brother Rice, it seemed like everyone understood each other.

We could be super open with our classmates and our teachers. We’ve had some of the most interesting conversations and in class discussions.

It was great to finally get a year that was normal. Other than having to wear masks for the first half of the school year, this was a normal year.

We’ve had two of our four years of high school affected by Covid. We had half of our sophomore year and junior year that did not even feel real.

It was great doing everything we would do in a normal year. Being a part of the Crazies going to football, basketball and hockey games was great.

My favorite memories were just in class with my classmates. There were countless times where I would cry laughing because of how funny some of the moments were.

Right now, I do not feel sad about having one week left at Brother Rice. I do not think it has set in yet for the change that is about to happen.

I think part of the reason is we still have a while left in our baseball season. This season has been some of the most fun I’ve ever had playing baseball.

I have loved every part of this season. From waking up at 5:30 a.m. to lifting on freezing winter mornings to getting extra work in after school , I have loved every second of it.

What makes baseball so great is our team. We have a special group of guys and great coaches.

We still have a month left in our season and we have big plans. We are looking to end up on top.

I loved my time at Brother Rice. I made memories I will never forget and friends that I know will last my lifetime.

I had great times at Brother Rice, but I feel like it is time to move on. I’m very excited about going to college and for the next chapter of my life.
